CHRISTMAS ROBIN v BUSTER THE BOXER IN BATTLE OF THE TV ADS
IT"S A HARD-HEARTED VIEWER who fails to enjoy this latest TV ad for the John Lewis store chain.
The battle of the TV ads reflects the desire of the stores to get you through their doors on a Christmas present buying spree. But I don't mind that, so long as the ads are worth watching. After all, no one forces me to shop there.
So, I reckon the brains behind ads like Buster, and Home for Christmas (below) from Waitrose, the food retail arm of John Lewis, deserve to be congratulated.
These are both beautifully executed mini-movies, with heart. I'll carefully place my cynicism for the commercial world to one side for a moment, and say: more please!
